History of the NAFIC Awards

The National Association of Fraternal Insurance Counselors (NAFIC) has a proud tradition of recognizing excellence among fraternal financial professionals. Since its founding, NAFIC has been committed to celebrating the individuals and organizations that go above and beyond in service, sales, leadership, and fraternal values.

Origins

The awards program began as a way to spotlight top-performing members and has since evolved into a vital part of the Fraternal Financial Leaders Conference. Early awards focused primarily on sales achievements, but over time, NAFIC introduced categories to include leadership, and service to community.

Evolution of Categories

As the profession and organization grew, so did the awards. Today, NAFIC presents several prestigious honors, including:

• International FIC of the Year – NAFIC’s highest honor, awarded annually to one outstanding FIC who exemplifies the highest standards of performance, leadership, and service
• Agency Builder Award – an FFMA award for leaders making significant impact in agency growth and development
• FIC of the Year – honoring an outstanding Fraternal Insurance Counselor who embodies the mission of NAFIC
• Chairman's Council – for elite sales achievement and sustained excellence
• President’s, Platinum and Gold Award – recognizing exceptional service and performance

Honoring a Legacy

Each year at the Fraternal Financial Leaders Conference, award recipients are recognized during a special ceremony. Their names are etched into NAFIC history alongside the many who have set the standard for excellence in our profession.
